Bob Gierszal brings UCM more than 40 years of extensive sales and operations experience, with accomplishments across the spectrum of global logistics and supply chain management. He is adept at developing and implementing strategic plans, exceeding targets, and delivering excellent P&L performance. Bob prides himself on his leadership style, focusing on clear accountability, results, and providing superior customer experience. He has assumed continually greater leadership roles at UCM since 2015 and, in his current position as Senior Vice President, he oversees all P&L accountability in Sales, Customer Service and Finance.

Bob’s career in the transportation industry got its start in sales and liner management for Lykes Brothers Steamship Company, Inc. He then held roles of increasing responsibility for Fortune 500 worldwide logistics and freight forwarding company Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. where he held positions as National Accounts Sales Executive in the Cincinnati, OH office, District Manager in Cleveland, OH, and District Sales Manager in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA.

Bob graduated cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He and his wife, Kathy, reside in Charleston, SC and are the proud parents of four children.
